GLBF = Verb + Sensitive Body Part + Noun without
relation to the first few words

know what it is. Well, it's an indigenous musical horn that plays an annoying
sound. The instrument gained International prominence because of it's
appearance in the current world cup.
GLBF = The use of the word "PERFECT" +
Verb + An Unknown Word (Or Pick an Indigenous Language)
For example: The Perfect Use for a
Diminonutron.

Here's one of the more potent forms of link
bait, Abbreviated one word verbs. "Shopped" is a
shortened version of the word photoshopped, (which is not yet in the dictionary). It means
an image which is altered in such a way so as to make something common or
ordinary into something awesome or fabulous!

content. Add a sprinkling of a verb + 3 Letter Unknown Word + Robots and you
get the attention of the nerds out there.

What do you get when you get a high ranking
military official, the addition of the words "clandestine missions"
and "controversy"? A Great Link Bait Formula! More than anything
else, an article worded like this gets the attention of Computer Gamers and Tom
Clancy fans. The thrill of discovering that games, novels and stories could
have real life occurrences are simply too hard to ignore.
GLBF = High Ranking Government/Military Official +
"Clandestine" + NOUN + "Controversy"
My example: Obama's Clandestine Escapade Ends Up in
Controversy

Google once reported that "money" is
the most searched for word on the Internet, beating even the word
"Sex". Making comparisons of one ethnic group to another ethnic
group's riches always get the money grubbers attention out there.
GLBF = Group of People (Ethnic, Religious, etc.) +
Financially Related Word + Comparison + the word "Rich"

They Got Rich

There's one thing that people would always
hanker for no matter the season, themselves. Add a mixture of a popular gadget
that would further add to their egocentric self gratification process plus a
deadline and you have a link that's shouting for it to get clicked. While
not totally nefarious in that you get to see content that is related to the
title, it still makes for a good link bait, because they're simply
irresistible.
GLBF = Word that Appeal to the Ego (YOU) + Verb
that's related to acquiring things for the preceding element (YOU) + Popular
Gadget that you think will enhance (YOU) + Deadline
My Example: You Will Get Rich Because of a Blackberry if
You Click on this Now.
